【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheresistanceofexteriorwindows,skylights,anddoorstowaterpenetrationwhenwaterisappliedtotheoutdoorfaceandexposededgessimultaneouslywitharapidpulsedairpressureattheoutdoorfacehigherthanthepressureattheindoorface.1.2Thistestmethodisapplicabletowindows,skylights,ordoorsalone.ThoseinterestedintestingcurtainwallstorapidpulsedairpressuredifferencesshoulduseAAMA501.1-94.1.3Thistestmethodaddresseswaterpenetrationthroughamanufacturedassembly.Waterthatpenetratestheassembly,butdoesnotresultinafailureasdefinedherein,mayhaveadverseeffectsontheperformanceofcontainedmaterialssuchassealantsandinsulatingorlaminatedglass.Thistestmethoddoesnotaddresstheseissues.1.4Theproperuseofthistestmethodrequiresaknowledgeoftheprinciplesofpressuremeasurement.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Theinch-poundequivalentsofSIunitsmaybeapproximate.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
